Based on genome based metabolic networks, Insilico runs simulations for certain pathways and mutants to improve desired characteristics of bacterial strains and their productivity.
Following a customer request for the optimization of the recombinant production of a protein in a certain microorganism, Insilico would assemble a dynamic metabolic network for the whole cell, integrate metabolite time series data, identify kinetic parameters and would predict how to optimize the desired enzyme activities.
One customer’s feedback: The implementation of Insilico’s proposed modifications by genetic engineering led to a more than a three-fold increase in productivity.
